Dr Somalaram Venkatesh is a consultant interventional cardiologist. He specializes in all types of coronary angioplasties including primary & complex coronary interventions like bifurcations, total occlusions, graft angioplasties etc. his area of special interest is in central peripheral interventions like aortic stent grafting for both thoracic & abdominal aorta for dissections & aneurysms. Dr Venkatesh also performs peripheral interventions including carotid, renal, subclavian, pulmonary, innominate, iliac & femoral artery angioplasty & stenting. He is also proficient in paediatric diagnostic & interventional procedures and has performed numerous ASD & PDA device closures.He routinely performs diagnostic coronary, peripheral, cerebral & congenital catheterizations. He has performed over 8000 diagnostic catheterizations & over 2500 interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
