Dr Amitabh Ray is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist, based in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is currently associated with the Apollo Gleneagles Hospital (Canal Circular Road), AMRI Hospital (Dhakuria) and Ekbalpur Nursing Home (Ibrahim Road). Dr Ray completed his MBBS with honours, and went on to add an MD and a DNB in Radiation Oncology to his list of impressive qualifications, bagging several medals and awards along the way. He also completed a post-MD clinical fellowship in neuro-oncology at ACTREC, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. After his MD, he was posted as Senior Registrar at Department of Radiotherapy, Advanced Medical Research Institute (AMRI), Kolkata, from February 2008 to February 2010 and thereafter as RMO cum Clinical Tutor at Radiotherapy Department, NRS Medical College and Hospital from February 2010 to January 2012. He returned to AMRI as Visiting Consultant Oncologist and Academic Consultant from March 2010 to December 2011. Simultaneously he was also designated Visiting Oncologist at KPC Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata from June 2010.
