Indian Academy of Acupuncture Science run by Indian Institute of Holistic Medicines is the biggest Acupuncture institute of its kind in India. It was founded in 1983 A.D. by Prof. Sir. Dr P. B. Lohiya. The Academy is affiliated to International open university of complimentary Medicines Srilanka Chapter of Medicina Alternativa established as per 1962 World Health Organisation Alma Ata declaration which is further recognised by United Nations peace University. It is also affiliated to Indian branch of World Association of Chinese Medicine. Motto of the Academy is to spread the ancient Medical Science of Acupuncture.
