Dr Avinash Inamdar is a philanthropic Cardiac Surgeon, offering advanced Cardiac Surgical treatment to the needy and poor people of India. He performed more than 10,000 Heart operations of which 4,000 heart operations were carried out free of cost at Government Hospitals and Sassoon Hospitals, Poona Chest Hospital and CPR Hospital, Kolhapur. He also established Dr Inamdar free surgery pattern in India. His aspirations were shattered by his father untimely death on the operation table during bypass surgery when Cardiac surgery in India 20 years ago was in its infancy. Dr Inamdar mind was firm about making advanced heart surgery techniques available to a common man at an affordable cost
